On 30-31 March 2022, representatives of the COST Members met under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU in Paris. Following a unanimous decision, both Georgia and Ukraine join the COST family, which now has 40 full Members.

Actions are encouraged to be inclusive with these new members and take into account their participation in any of the Action activities in line with the Annex I of Rules for participation in COST Activities. This document has been updated and you will find it on the COST website here. It is important to note that both countries now fall under the category of Inclusiveness Target Countries.

Both countries will be invited to nominate COST National Coordinator (CNC), as well as CSO and Scientific Committee members. Until Georgian and / or Ukrainian Management Committee members can be nominated by their future CNC, any potential participants from these 2 new COST Full Members can apply to become Working Group Members, through the Action web page available here.

Access to any of the other networking tools (eg. grants) follows the same procedure as outlined in the Annotated Rules for COST Actions – level C available here.
